Divine Encounters with Shirdi Sai Baba: Miracles, Healing, and Faith
Miracle 1: Sai Baba Has Taken Me Under His Wings
So I’m lucky to mention that Sai Baba took me under his wings 6-7 years ago, and since then he’s been my everything. It wouldn’t be a surprise to anyone when I say that he has saved many people an infinite number of times. There’s nothing that happens in this world without his blessings and without his consent. He does everything possible for his devotees without expecting anything in return. That’s what makes him a perfect god. People call him a sadhu or a guru. But many would agree with me that he’s beyond human imagination — he’s beyond human comprehension and interpretation.
In this experience, I’m going to talk/show how caring Baba Sai was towards me in all my Shirdi trips and how he knows everyone’s innermost desires.
During my first visit to Shirdi with my parents, I didn’t know much about Baba and wasn’t even a devotee, but he still drew me towards him. Perhaps the stars foretold this event. It’s important to observe this transition. (Without much devotion vs. after devotion).

By the time of my second visit, he had become everything to me. I had read Sai Satcharitra about 1 or 2 times, and it’s fair to say that I knew a bit about him by this time. I was traveling alone during my college days, at a very young age, and it was my first trip ever. The moment I started, he was there with me. I had a cab booked from my house (early in the morning) to the airport, and I didn’t have much sleep the previous night because of the excitement I had for meeting him. I was scared to sleep alone after Covid, when the rules were still in place. Then after some sometime, I was watching the back mirror, and the road light reflection fell on a thing hanging from the mirror. Imagine my happiness knowing that Sai is accompanying me on the trip and is keeping a watch on me.
My third trip was a blissful experience. I had a ticket booked for Kakad Aarti. The hotel manager informed me that the queue begins as early as 12am, and the aarti is scheduled for 5:00am. Due to insufficient sleep, as I had reached Shirdi late at night (around 10:30/11pm) after visiting Nasik, and because I hadn’t slept well the previous night due to excitement and an early morning flight, I couldn’t wake up early and got late. But I wanted to sit in the front row to get a clear view. Maybe Sai wanted it. I reached the queue line at 4:45 (just 15 minutes before the arati time), but the crowd was already packed. People were sitting on the ground, and only those in the first 2–3 lines had a proper view.

By the time I reached inside, there were around 15-18 lines formed. Then, unexpectedly, I discovered an empty spot in the second row with a wonderful view of the arati. It was as if Baba wanted me to sit there and had the place reserved for me. The memory still brings tears to my eyes and deeply moved me as a devotee.
Fourth trip: On my last trip, I had an encounter that challenged reality and proved that Sai is beyond our comprehension. On this trip, I was fortunate to witness the madhyan arati from an excellent vantage point. Although it felt miraculous, it paled in comparison to my previous experiences. One fine morning, I had gone to Maruti Mandir in Shirdi to take the blessings of Lord Hanuman. There, I saw a man who looked exactly like our baba. An aura surrounded him, exuding complete calmness, and his eyes shone brightly.
Those who have read Satcharitra will undoubtedly recognize him as our Sai. At first, I was uncertain and found myself overanalyzing the situation. Eventually, I made up my mind, walked up to him, and decided to offer him some dakshina. He accepted the dakshina and blessed me by saying something in Marathi and raising his hands. I gazed into his eyes for a few seconds before departing. Though goosebumps prickled my body, my mind remained calm. Baba says there’s no such thing as being delusional, so I wasn’t. He must bless people to recognize his value.
Throughout the years, Baba has been my guiding light and would be forever. Baba knows what’s best for the people. Everyone, try to put your trust in him and look at how he steers life. He often says, “If you walk one step towards me, I would walk ten steps towards you.” He would stay with you forever, and that’s the best thing that could happen to any individual. So, just trust in him and experience it for yourself.
Miracle 2: The Healing of a Terminal Illness
Anjali (name changed for privacy) was a young woman who spent months in bed after being diagnosed with a rare autoimmune disease. Doctors informed her family that there was little chance of recovery despite her having numerous therapies, surgeries, and treatments. As her condition deteriorated, she was unable to carry out everyday tasks and was in excruciating pain all the time.
As a devoted devotee of Shirdi Sai Baba, Anjali’s mother started going to temples and praying specifically on Thursdays to ask Baba for her daughter’s well-being. Despite Anjali’s physical restrictions, her mother urged her to recite “Sai Ram” whenever she could and placed a framed image of Sai Baba next to her bed.

Anjali had a dream one night about an old man appearing next to her bed in traditional orange robes. “Don’t worry, my child,” he whispered, lightly touching her forehead. You’ll be alright. Upon awakening, she experienced an unexplained feeling of serenity and observed that her symptoms had significantly diminished. Her condition proceeded to significantly improve over the following few weeks, which her physicians referred to as “a medical miracle.”
Anjali is now in perfect health and goes about her daily life as usual. She gives full credit to Sai Baba’s mercy for her recovery and frequently uses her experience to encourage others who might be having faith issues. This event strengthened her conviction that Baba hears serious requests and steps in unexpectedly.
Miracle 3: The Missing Wedding Ring
After learning about Sai Baba’s miracles from friends and coworkers, Rahul, a software engineer from Bangalore, made his first trip to Shirdi. As a souvenir of his journey, he bought a silver ring from the temple store while he was there. The ring was very precious to him since it brought back memories of the serene atmosphere he felt at the Samadhi Mandir.
However, Rahul found the ring missing when he arrived home. He looked in his pockets, his luggage, and the car, but he was unable to locate it. Heartbroken, he prayed to Sai Baba, expressing regret for any carelessness or lack of gratitude and requesting direction.
The airline’s customer support department called Rahul a few days later. They told him that on the flight he took back from Shirdi, they had discovered a little object in the seat pocket. He was shocked to see that it was his silver ring! Rahul said he didn’t wear the ring on the flight, so the staff said someone must have given it to lost-and-found, but no one knew how it got there.
Rahul’s faith in Sai Baba’s omnipresence and concern was strengthened by this experience. Given how much the ring meant to him, he thinks Baba made sure it was returned safely. Since then, Rahul has developed into a devoted follower who frequently takes part in bhajans and shares Sai Baba’s teachings with his friends.

These two tales demonstrate the significant influence Sai Baba has on the lives of people who believe in his heavenly presence. Baba continues to inspire millions of people around the world, whether it is through unanticipated interventions, miraculous healings, or small deeds of compassion. “If you walk one step towards me, I would walk ten steps towards you,” as you previously stated. These encounters serve as a reminder of Baba’s unfailing love and devotion to his followers.
Bow to Shri Sai; peace be to all!
